Sometimes I just love this business. Being a realtor in the Oshawa area, with the best values in the GTA is a blast! Mike and I have been working extra hours the last few weeks, trying to keep up with the first time buyers who can’t seem to get enough of the home selection, prices and low interest rates.

I stumbled across this article from yesterday’s National Post today and thought it was interesting. This is just more evidence that first time buyers can not resist the large selection and great value available in today’s market. This is especially true in the Oshawa, Whitby and Clarington markets. I predict that we will watch this activity move into the higher price ranges over the next few weeks.

As expected the first time buyers have noticed the great home values in the Whitby, Oshawa, Courtice and Bowmanville markets.  It seems that buyers can’t resist the larger selection of available homes and the five year term mortgages for less than 4%.  We have noticed that 16 of our last 20 sales have been below $230,000.  Did you know that $160,000 will now buy you a tidy North Oshawa semi-detached home?
